Deanna Tetterton is a founding member of Tetterton Law Firm and has been part of the firm since the day it opened in 2009. A lifelong Carteret County resident, she brings both deep roots in the community and a serious professional foundation to everything she does.

Deanna holds a certificate from East Carolina University’s Paralegal Studies Program and a certification in Criminal Law from North Carolina State University. She is also a North Carolina State Bar Certified Paralegal — a credential that reflects a demonstrated commitment to the highest standards of competence and professionalism in the legal field.

The Person Clients Work With

For most clients, Deanna is the primary point of contact throughout their case. She helps oversee the daily operations of the firm while working directly with clients to make sure they are informed, supported, and never left wondering what is happening with their case. When someone calls the firm with a question, they reach Deanna — someone who knows their file, understands their situation, and gives them a real answer.

Criminal cases can be stressful and disorienting. Deanna’s role is to make sure clients feel less of both. Her approach is attentive, responsive, and straightforward.

Community Involvement

Deanna’s connection to Carteret County goes beyond the office. She has served in leadership and advisory roles with the Carteret County PTA, Carteret County Parent Advisory Council, and Kids Vote NC. She is also a former member of the Junior League of Raleigh, where she worked on community initiatives and service projects.

Outside of work, Deanna enjoys spending time with her family, supporting her sons’ activities, and staying involved in the community she has called home her entire life.
